Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Schedule: Nights & Weekends only, 48 hours per week (no variations)

End Date: September 5, 2026 (no extensions)

Job Description

Provide patient-centered nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in collaboration with families, following professional nursing standards. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Rhode Island
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an RN in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• English proficiency
• COVID-19 vaccination required (proof of vaccine series or bivalent booster; medical exemptions reviewed prior to start)
• Specialty-specific certifications as required for NICU nursing
• Completion of required skills checklists and competency exams specific to NICU nursing
• Background checks and fingerprinting as required by state regulations
• Proof of immunizations or titers for MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B (vaccination series or declination), Influenza (optional), and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• Fit testing for N95 masks within one year prior to start
• Valid driver’s license or state ID

Additional Requirements

• Submission of professional references (minimum one supervisory)
• Employment verification for the last 5 years
• Completion of orientation packets, confidentiality agreements, and work attestation forms prior to start
• Annual completion of COVID and flu policy forms

Experience
