Sterile Processing Technician - Fresno, California

Job Details

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 06:00 AM – 02:30 PM
• Work Week: 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Location: Fresno, California

Required Qualifications

• Certification: CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRSCT (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC only)
• Must have a valid Driver's License or State ID

Required Immunizations and Health Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine and 1 booster or approved exemption (optional submission, but required for approval)
• MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations or positive IGG titer; if negative titer, booster or declination accepted
• Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 immunizations and positive antibody titer; if negative titer, booster or declination accepted
• Influenza vaccine required October through March unless exempted for medical or religious reasons
• TB Test: Negative test within 30 days of start (skin test, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-spot); if positive, must provide chest x-ray within last 5 years and annual TB questionnaire thereafter
• Health Statement: Signed within 1 year of start confirming ability to work without restrictions; updated annually
• Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination accepted
• Tdap: Proof of vaccination within past 10 years or declination accepted
• Drug Screen: 9-panel (minus THC) within 30 days of start; rapid drug screen accepted; retesting required if break in service >30 days

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal Background Check: Must be within 30 days prior to start; includes 7-year county, national criminal background, SSN trace, employment verification (5 years), OFAC, and NSO; updated every 3 years; if break in service >90 days, additional checks required
• OIG, EPLS, OFAC, National Sex Offender, and State Healthcare Exclusion List manual searches required within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Employment Verification and Social Security Trace are optional if included in background check; otherwise must be current within 6 months
• Confirmation of Assignment/Job Description, Policy Packet Acknowledgement, Dispute Resolution Agreement, Confidentiality Receipt, and Do Not Rehire/Send attestation required prior to onboarding
• Badge Photo: Neutral background, forward facing, no facial jewelry

Additional Requirements

• Skills Checklist: Must be completed within 1 year of start (clinical skill-specific)
• Fit Test: Optional, will be completed onsite on start date
• COVID Test: Optional, required on start date for clinical staff
• HLC Testing: Optional; if completed and confirmed by Friday before start, stipend available
