Unit Details

Unit name: Endoscopy – GI/ENDO RN
Unit setup: 7 rooms, 4 MAC, 3 Conscious Sedation procedures, holding and recovery rooms
Bed / room count: 18 PACU bays, 8 procedural rooms
Census: 60–70 procedures per day
Floating: No
Rotating shifts: Yes, depending on hours; department is open 6:30am–5:30pm
On-call coverage: Evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Endoscopy (2 years of experience)
Endoscopy experience within the last year
2 years or more of total travel experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Familiarity with Olympus endoscopes
Knowledge of endoscope reprocessing

Preferred Qualifications

SGNA or CBSPD
