Job Description
- Provide intra-operative nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with surgical team members including surgeons and anesthesia providers.
- Primary duties include circulating procedures, instrumentation, assisting surgeons/anesthesia, patient education, and serving as a resource nurse.
- Patient populations include all ages undergoing surgical procedures in specialties such as ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics (including Spine), Podiatry, Dental/Oral Surgery, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology (including C-sections), Vascular, and Bariatric surgery.
- Call requirements: Approximately 70-80 hours in a 4-week period with a 30-minute response time.
Required Experience

- Tdap (valid for 10 years; declination accepted).
- TB Test: Negative test within past year (TSPOT or QuantiFERON IGG) or documentation if history of positive test.
- Fit Test for approved respirators completed prior to start.
- Health Statement from physician within last 12 months.
- Annual TB Questionnaire (if applicable).
- Drug Screen: 10-panel within 30 days of start (THC not required).
Additional Professional Requirements
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Verification of highest education level completed relevant to role.
- Background and compliance screenings including EPLS/GSA/SAM, NSO, OFAC, and others run within 30 days of start.
- Completion of skills checklist within 12 months.
- Completion of pre-orientation computer-based learning (CBL) acknowledgment.
- Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor.
- I-9 attestation on agency letterhead.
Call & Shift Details
- Day shift with additional call hours required.
- Call hours approximately 70-80 hours per 4 weeks.
