Contract nursing role in a med-surg/telemetry unit

Schedule

Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
3x12 schedule
Weekends required
Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
1 year of travel nursing experience for travel positions
Critical Care Float experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Associate degree in nursing considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program
EPIC experience highly preferred

Staffing guideline: 1:5

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
Assess patient needs, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and caregivers
Perform charge nurse duties as assigned
Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly
Support patient safety, quality improvement, and patient throughput
