Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift Details

• Shift: 8-hour Mids/PM (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend; holiday rotation including Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day (night shifts)

Work Hours

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week (except during holidays when unit is closed)

Unit Information

• 5 Med unit, 53 beds
• Patient ratio: approximately 1:7-8
• Float requirements: May float to other units and nearby hospitals as needed (Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, Mukwonago, and similar units)
• On Call/Call Back: None

Required Certifications

• BLS
• Wisconsin or Compact nursing license

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years Medical-Surgical nursing experience (short term acute care hospital experience required)
• Experience with insulin and cardiac drips
• Must be able to read telemetry
• EPIC charting experience within the last 12 months

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 prior travel contract completed preferred (prior travel experience required)

• Must be resilient, able to manage change well, socially adept, strong documentation skills, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Scrub colors: Any
• COVID-19 vaccine required unless medical or religious exemption applies
• Float assignments will not require working outside clinical skills without approval
