Assignment Details

Travel position
13 weeks
Start: ASAP
12-hour nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
Every other weekend and every other holiday
Primary location: Aspirus Wausau Hospital

Required Qualifications

Wisconsin RN license
BLS
ACLS
3 years of experience
1 travel assignment required
Ability to read and interpret strips

Preferred Qualifications

NIHSS

Clinical / Unit Information

Intermediate care / short stay unit
8-bed unit
Background in observation units or MS/Tele units
Float to inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU
Patient ratio: 1:4
Common patient types include anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and pre/post-op urology and GI
Drips may include Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin
Average stay up to 48 hours
High volume of admissions and discharges

Compliance / Testing

EKG exam required during compliance
Flu and COVID vaccination policy applies during flu season; if declined, mask use is required at all times

Additional Notes

Low census may reduce worked hours in 4-hour increments
Scrub color: any color
