Registered Nurse

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin
Facility: Clinic setting
Employment type: Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 6 twelve-hour shifts per pay period, every 3rd weekend, 7:00pm–7:30am

Role Summary

Provide nursing care for maternal and newborn patients, including assessment, triage, labor support, newborn monitoring, and patient education.

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
1 year of Labor and Delivery experience

Required Certifications

AHA BLS within 1 month of hire
NRP within 6 months of hire
ALSO within 1 year of hire
STABLE within 1 year of hire
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire

Key Clinical Responsibilities

Complete nursing histories, assess patients, and develop plans of care
Triage patient care based on symptoms
Administer medications
Assess labor progression and manage induction of labor and cervical ripening
Respond to obstetric emergencies
Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring
Manage pregnancy-related concerns such as hypertension and diabetes
Assess newborn condition, monitor for complications, and provide neonatal resuscitation within scope of practice and certification
Promote patient education and communicate changes in patient status to the care team
