Overview

Travel RN assignment in a hospital setting
Specialty: MedSurg/Ortho
Shift: Nights
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS certification
2–3 years of experience in the specialty
Previous travel experience required

Unit Details

17-bed unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
Floating may include telemetry and other MedSurg floors
Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry and complete a dysrhythmia exam
No vents
No IV team
Hospitalist available 24/7
RT available 24/7
Pharmacy available 24/7

Schedule and Workflow

4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
Holidays rotate with permanent staff
First to float
1 shift of unit orientation

Patient Population

Common patients include hips, knees, shoulders, and spine cases
No drips

Additional Notes

Holiday RTO will be considered but is not guaranteed
Scrub color: navy

Great hospital. Kind and friendly staff.

Cons

The cafeteria is a hit and miss. Some days they have great sea food with saffron rice! Some days microwaved food :D. But there is alwaaaaays, pizza available ;)
