Radiology X-Ray Technologist (Rad Tech) - Evening Shift

Location

• Bryan, Texas
• Float between two campuses approximately 16 minutes apart as needed

Contract Length

• 12 weeks

Schedule

• Shift: Evenings, 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Work pattern: 7 days on, 7 days off (alternating 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next)
• Call requirement: 2 day shifts per month starting at 6:30 AM and running through 7:00 AM the following day
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Weekend and holiday work required if scheduled

Department & Work Environment

• Radiology - General X-Ray only (no multi-modality duties)
• Department has 4 X-ray rooms, 5 C-arms, and 2 fluoroscopy surgical suites
• Average of 123 exams performed daily
• Radiologist coverage: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rarely required to start IVs
• No floating to other departments
• Dress code: Black scrubs (not provided)
• On-the-job orientation specific to shift and call requirements

Equipment & Systems

• Imaging equipment brands: GE, Siemens, Dornier (X-ray/Fluoro), GE, Siemens, Philips (C-arms)
• EMR system: Meditech
• PACS system: Synapse
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) support

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) verification required
• Texas Radiologic Technologist license (includes fluoroscopy privileges)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must be a motivated individual

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must not have been employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any related health system facility within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable
• Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination
