CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Bronx, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 8 hours/day, 37 hours/week

Job Summary

• Perform sophisticated CT imaging studies independently, applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients and rooms, including data entry, patient positioning, and equipment setup.
• Assist interventional radiologists with sterile equipment during procedures.
• Monitor procedure progress, exposure factors, and operate injectors as needed.
• Manage imaging workflow in PACS, ensuring accuracy of patient data, exam type, labeling, and orientation.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.
• Confirm vascular access and administer contrast according to protocol.
• Conduct pre-procedural screening to assess risk factors and monitor patients for adverse reactions, notifying physicians immediately if needed.

Required Qualifications

• NYS License as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT certification in CT and MRI.
• NYS Department of Health Injection Contrast certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
