Job Details

Specialty: Endoscopy/Gastroenterology (Endo/GI)
Location: Kearney, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Schedule Options: 5/8, 4/10, or 3/12 shifts (8-hour shifts only)
Call Requirement: 10 days per six-week schedule
Staff Ratio: 1:1

Job Responsibilities

Provide nursing care primarily in an RN role for Endo/GI patients
Perform pre-op preparation for Endo patients
Sedation is handled by anesthesia; nurses do not perform sedation
May occasionally assist with bronchoscopies if competent and comfortable
May assist with tech duties if competent and comfortable
Participate in ERCP procedures

Required Certifications and Licenses

Current RN license
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Valid driver’s license required at time of application (used to verify candidate is within 50-mile radius)

Additional Requirements and Policies

Candidates must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the specified health system or its affiliates
Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to remove artificial nails will result in contract termination
RN candidates must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% (open book, resources provided) or face contract termination

Accredited Chest Pain Center
Staffed with anesthesia for sedation during procedures
