Registered Nurse (Chronic Dialysis) - North Carolina

Job Overview

  • Position: Chronic Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Location: Shelby, North Carolina
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: Approximately 2-3 weeks from offer date
  • Shift: Day shifts with variable hours based on patient census and client needs
  • Work Days: Monday through Saturday, expected to work 4 days per week
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, may work up to 40 hours depending on census
  • Clinic operates 6 days a week with varying shift lengths (longer shifts M/W/F, shorter shifts T/T/Sa/Su)
  • Weekend Requirement: Saturday rotation required based on client need; every other week rotation may not always be accommodated
  • Float Requirement: May float to sister clinic in Shelby and clinic in Kings Mountain; reliable transportation required
  • On Call: None required
  • Scheduling: Candidates must be fully available with no competing jobs or PRN status; no scheduling accommodations will be made

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of normal RN duties related to chronic dialysis care
  • Manage care plans and patient treatments, including initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments
  • Perform any tasks within RN scope of practice as requested by the client
  • Work with Fresenius K dialysis machines (33 machines in use)
  • Care for approximately 99 patients

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum of 1 year of dialysis experience, with dialysis experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
