Unit Description

• High Risk Obstetrics unit
• 15 labor beds, 9 antepartum beds, 3 OR suites
• Fast-paced, high acuity environment serving a large regional area
• Level 2 trauma center with stroke accreditation
• Hospital size: approximately 800 inpatient beds, 80 ER beds

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, night shift
• May be required to float to other maternal units including postpartum and NICU
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional additional shifts
• No call requirements
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Employer may cancel shifts with 48 hours’ notice for low census during the contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nevada
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with High Risk patients
• Certifications required: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Additional Information

• Travelers may be required to float within their competency level
• The hospital is a busy regional trauma center with advanced technology and specialized services including:

  • Accredited heart failure center
  • Institute for Neurosciences
  • Low-dose CT imaging
  • Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System
  • PET/CT scanner, Biplane Angiography, and 3T MRI technologies
