Registered Nurse – Med Surg

Location: Versailles, Kentucky
Employment Type: Per Diem
Contract Length: 24 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

• Specialty: Medical/Surgical with Swing beds
• Unit: 2nd floor, 16 Med/Surg beds and 2 Acute Care Unit (ACU) beds
• Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Patient Population: Adults with a geriatric mix (no pediatrics)
• Float Requirement: May float 1 shift to ACU as needed (light ICU, no ventilators)
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Lower level acute care, subacute rehab
• Equipment: Standard
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost

Shift & Hours

• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend as needed
• Call Requirements: None specified

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in acute care and some rehab preferred

Work Environment & Dress Code

• Physical work level: Standard
• Dress Code: Solid color scrubs (no fleece, hoodies, or non-scrub attire allowed)

Additional Notes

• No trauma level designation for the unit
• Supervisor available onsite
