Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Contract Length

13 weeks

Unit Description

Trauma Surgical Unit caring for acute trauma and surgical patients
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
Patient population includes trauma, orthopedic, and urology cases
Interdisciplinary team approach involving family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists
Provides individualized care for patients hospitalized for illness, surgery, or observation

Work Schedule

36 or 48 hours per week
Every other weekend required
Holidays as required
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Licensure

Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama

Certifications

AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification

Experience

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg Telemetry specialty
