Job Overview

• Travel RN position in Albany, New York
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 48 hours per week may be accepted if noted in the submission

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Advanced hemodynamics including pressor usage per titration protocols
• Antihypertensive drips
• Sedative and narcan drips
• Thromboembolic medications
• Arterial line management
• Central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring
• External ventricular drain (EVD) management
• Orthopedic traction
• High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• BiPap/CPAP
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Setting

• Progressive Critical Care Unit
• Average patient load: 3 high-acuity patients
• Patient population includes medically delicate and surgically complex patients, including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multisystem organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex trauma, and surgical complications

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates are not being accepted
• Competency test is required within 24 hours of submission
