Job Description

• Perform technical procedures and assist in clinical evaluation and patient care under the direction of Medical Director, Section Head, manager, and Radiologist.
• Utilize MRI modality to create diagnostic images.
• Enforce radiation safety measures according to New York State Department of Health code part 16.
• Support teaching and continuous learning as technology evolves.
• Provide a safe and positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Applied Science, Diploma in X-Ray, or Vocational School Diploma from an approved professional academic imaging program (required).
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registered upon hire (required).
• New York State registration or limited permit to practice in New York State upon hire (required).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon hire (required).
• Previous experience helpful but not mandatory.
• Maintain competent imaging skills in practicing modality.
• Practice in compliance with hospital/department policies and New York state and accrediting agency standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide patient care appropriate to patient age and special characteristics.

Schedule & Work Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Workdays: Friday through Monday
• Shift hours: 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• Shift length: 4 shifts of 10 hours each
• No on-call obligation
• Strong O.R. experience preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in MRI specialty required
• No prior travel experience explicitly required
