Job Opportunity: CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic CT exams under general supervision, following established policies and procedures.
• Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness.
• Interview patients to obtain and verify medical history; assess risk factors such as medications, pregnancy, and psychological indicators.
• Explain procedures to patients, including side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up.
• Set up imaging equipment and acquire images as per the prescribed script.
• Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions, and communicate findings to radiologists.
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate.
• Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
• Participate in process improvement activities related to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
• Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
• Able to take call/standby as required.
• May perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed.

Requirements

• Specialty: CT Tech
• Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years recent Radiology & CT experience in a hospital setting
• Certifications:

  • ARRT certification in Radiology & CT Tech (required)
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
• Equipment Experience: Familiarity with GE CT scanner and portable x-ray machine (Mobile dart and GE)
• Additional: Must be able to take call/standby as required by the department.

Contract Length

• 8 weeks
