Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Setting: Inpatient Rehab (44 beds)
Unit Information
- Unit: Inpatient Rehab Speech Therapy
- Staff: 2 speech therapists (day shift only)
- Patient Ratios: 1:8 to 1:10
- Equipment: MBS Suite, Vital Stim, IOPI, EMST150, Bioness BITs
- EMR system in use
Job Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Virginia SLP License with CCCs
- ASHA Certification
- BLS Certification
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in Speech Language Pathology (adult population/medical focus)
- Preferred: Neuro experience and inpatient rehab experience
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Typical Duties
- Evaluate and treat multiple diagnoses related to swallowing and speech language
- Perform MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) studies
Work Environment & Schedule
- Team-oriented, patient-focused, flexible personality preferred
- Floating area may include acute hospital
- Dress code: Black scrub bottoms and royal blue scrub top preferred (other colors accepted)
- Rotating weekends, usually one shift per month
- On-call assistance required
