Job Opportunity: Medical Technologist (Travel)

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

Specialty: Medical Technologist
Required Years of Experience: 5 years or more
Licensure: Must have Louisiana state licensure
Preferred Certifications: ASCP preferred over AMTF
Preferred Skills:
- Multi-modality training preferred
- Experience with Heme, Coag, Urine, Chemistry, Whole bloods procedures

Unit Information

Staffing:
- Total staff: 60 (including phlebotomy)
- Day Shift: 2 Hematology, 2 Chemistry, 2 Blood Bank, 4 Microbiology
- Evening Shift: 4-5 generalists
- Night Shift: 3 generalists
Equipment Used:
- Cobs Pros
- Sysmex XN
- ACL Tops
- Arkray
- Iris
- Clinitech
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Additional Details

Floating Areas: Microbiology and Blood Bank
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Personality Fit: Best suited for candidates comfortable with a variety of lab procedures and working in a multi-disciplinary team environment
