Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Travel Position in Richmond, Virginia
Position Details
- Specialty: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
- Location: Richmond, Virginia
- Employment Type: Travel
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift (7 AM - 5 PM) with call responsibilities; includes holiday call
- Unit: Surgical Services, 19 Operating Rooms, Level II Trauma Center
- ORs physically separated between General OR and GYN OR
- Call team activated as needed
- EMR System: Meditech (OR Module)

- Level II Trauma
- General Surgery / GYN
- Vascular
- ENT / Plastics
- Neurosurgery
- Orthopedics
- Cardiac
- DaVinci robotic surgery
- Kidney Transplant
- Team Environment: Cohesive team focused on excellent patient outcomes, respectful culture, unit-based celebrations
Requirements
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in CST/ORT specialty
- Skills:
- Must be able to function in all three roles: Circulator, Scrub, and Assistant (RNFA skills required)
- Flexible to perform all roles as needed
- DaVinci robotic surgery training required
- Must be willing to take call and holiday call where needed
- Positive attitude and dependable
- Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital
Preferred Qualifications
- Flexibility in scheduling and roles
Dress Code
- Navy scrubs
