Occupational Therapist (OT) Travel Position
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Information
- Unit: Occupational Therapy (OT) at a 44-bed inpatient rehab hospital
- Patient Ratios: 1 therapist to 4-5 patients
- Staffing: 10 OT/PT teams, 1 tech available
- Equipment: Hoyer and Sara Lifts, multiple patient ceiling lifts, Bioness, RT300 UE Bike, Diego, XCITE Functional E Stim
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, rotating weekends at least one per month
- Floating Policy: May float to the acute hospital therapy department
- Patient Experience: Hospital-level inpatient rehab experience preferred; Stroke rehab experience required
- Team: Mix of long-tenured and newer therapists, all motivated and committed to learning and education
- Dress Code: Black scrub pants and royal blue top
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS, OTR Certification
- Licenses: Valid Occupational Therapist License
- Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years in Occupational Therapy, with stroke rehab experience required
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required

- Procedures: Neuro re-education with technology
- Hospital Certifications: DNV Stroke and Brain Tumor Certification; Joint Commission Rehab Stroke Certification
- Advanced skills: Not required
