Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Neurosurgery/Neuroscience
- Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Unit Beds: 18
- EMR System: Cerner
- Float Requirements: As needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
- Minimum 2 years of neurosurgery experience, including experience within the last year
- Neurology experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Unit and Patient Information
- Patient population includes neurosurgery and neuroscience patients
- Positive attitude and good work ethic preferred
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs; no artificial fingernails allowed
Additional Notes
- No prior travel experience explicitly required
- Call is not required for this position
- Focus on neuro and neurosurgery skills and experience
This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized neuro unit with a supportive team and a manageable patient ratio.
