Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

Main Operating Room with 13 ORs
Patient ratio: 1:1
Team includes RNs, Surgical Techs, Support Staff, Board Runners
Equipment includes Stryker Ortho Systems, Stryker Lap Towers, Da Vinci Xi Robots (x2), Mako Navigation, Omni Navigation
Documentation system: MEDITECH
Scheduling: Call shifts, 4-5 per 4 weeks, weekend rotation, no set schedule but reasonable
Floating required if ORs are shut down (internal first, then assisting other areas)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Urology experience
Advanced orthopedic skills
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required

Procedures

All surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eye surgeries
