Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Operating Room Surgical Tech

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Job Description

• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Provide compassionate care by maintaining nursing practice standards and fostering positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Support and encourage team members
• Primary shift: Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm
• Participate in emergency call every third week for 7 days
• Main procedure focus: open heart surgery
• Assist in other surgical specialties when open heart cases are not available
• Experience in Operating Room or equivalent required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CVOR Technologist, with recent experience within the last year
• Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Completion of secondary education or its equivalent

• Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals
