Job Description

• Work primarily on a Multi-specialty unit focused on Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/TELE).
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Schedule offers 36 hours per week, including holidays as required and every other weekend.
• Patient care unit (PCU) specializes in medical and surgical care, accommodating up to 36 patients.
• Patient populations include dialysis, telemetry monitoring, orthopedic procedures (fractures, shoulders, backs), and general surgery (appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, colon resection).
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6, supported by a Team Leader.
• Focus on pain management, mobility, prevention of complications, and providing a safe, comfortable environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Additional Information

• This is a patient-facing, clinical position.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
• Parking is available.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months).
