Job Description
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) unit. The role involves working in a surgical environment with a variety of procedures including liver, kidney, kidney pancreas transplants, general surgery, robotics, bariatric surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, and plastic surgery.
Shift Details
- Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend and call requirements to be discussed during the interview
- Floating required as per unit policy
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Meditech documentation system
- Experience with robotics, urology, general surgery, bariatric surgery
Unit Guidelines and Policies
- Floating as needed
- Dress Code:
- Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket for RNs
- Clean and healthy nails
- Neat and clean hair, no extreme styles or colors
- Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Body art should be covered whenever possible; uncovered body art addressed individually
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

- Candidates must be prepared to float within the facility as per the floating policy
- Documentation system used: Meditech
