Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Med Surg Telemetry experience to provide quality healthcare in a Level III Trauma Center. The position involves working on a medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring, serving patients of all ages.

Unit Information

Unit: Medical Surgical Combination 2 (Med Surg Telemetry)
Shift: See shift details (typically 36 guaranteed hours per week)
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call Requirements: As needed
Float Requirements: Possibility to float to similar med/surg units
Patient Population: All ages
Equipment: Omnicell medication dispensing system
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
NIH Stroke Scale Certification
HWC (Health and Wellness Certification)

Additional Requirements

Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff

Work Environment

167-bed healthcare facility with Level III Trauma Center status
Fully accredited and governed by a local board of trustees
Provides care to Gallatin, Hendersonville, and surrounding areas

Notes

Weekend and call shifts are required on an as-needed basis
Opportunity to float to similar medical-surgical units may be required
