Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (floating and call required)

Job Description

Work on a general Medical-Surgical inpatient nursing unit
Patient ratio: 1:6
Blocked scheduling may be accommodated (must be specified in submission)
No 48-hour guarantees
Scrub color: Any
Electronic Medical Record system: MedHost
On-call schedule: No regular on-call; call only for census flex prior to shift if census is low

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification
Fingerprints required for all travelers to New Mexico (agency must be registered with the state for fingerprint processing)

Additional Notes

Floating and call responsibilities are part of the shift
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Candidates must be able to comply with state fingerprinting requirements, which may take several weeks
