Location: Portland, Maine
Facility: Medical Telemetry Unit (P2C)

Position Details

Specialty: Medical Telemetry RN
Employment Type: Travel
Shift:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: 36 (weekend shifts as needed per unit)
Call Requirements: None
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 18
Patient Ratios:
- Day Shift: Goal 1:4, Max 1:5
- Night Shift: Goal 1:5, Max 1:6
Patient Population: Medical-Surgical, primarily medical telemetry patients; unit is stroke certified
Equipment: PLUM, Stryker
EMR System: EPIC

Requirements

Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Inpatient acute medical-surgical experience with telemetry
Certifications:
- BLS required
Education Modules: Stroke, SI/Restraints, telemetry, blood glucose
Preferred Skills: PCA, epidural, wound vac, IV pumps

Additional Information

Float Requirements: Will float per hospital/unit float rotation guidelines
Personality Fit: Positive attitude, teamwork-oriented, flexible, and adaptable
Dress Code: No specific scrub color required; attire must comply with hospital appearance policy
