Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry (Travel)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work on the Trauma Surgical Unit caring for acute care trauma and surgical patients.
• Patient ratio: 1:6.
• Interdisciplinary team approach to patient care.
• Unit also cares for orthopedic and urology patients.
• Collaboration with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and various surgical specialists.
• Provide individualized attention to patients hospitalized for illness, surgery, or observation.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
• Work schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Holidays as required, every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing.
• License: Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted).
• Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification.
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience preferred; will consider 18 months under highest professional license.
  • Must have 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg Telemetry specialty.
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required.
