Job Description
The LTACH/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
- Planning for safe delivery of care.
- Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel.
Requirements
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of nursing experience required.
- Certifications:
- ACLS & BLS (must be through the American Heart Association).
- Experience in LTAC: 2 years of recent LTAC and vent/trach experience.
- Licensure: Must have a valid Kentucky RN license.
