Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Yes, every fourth or fifth weekend

Job Description

The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech will operate all Cath lab equipment and digital processing equipment under the direction of the Director of Cardiovascular and Bariatric Services. Responsibilities include:

Performing all Cath lab duties such as scrub assistant and X-ray equipment operation.
Contributing to the general operation of the department by managing supplies and maintaining an orderly work area.
Demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles to assist in the care of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Requirements

Current Rad Tech License from the Louisiana State Board of Radiology
Current Rad Tech ARRT National license
Current BLS certification from AHA
ACLS certification from AHA (preferred and highly encouraged)

Specialization

Specialization can be obtained in the following modalities:

Diagnostic Cardiology
Interventional Cardiology
Peripheral Angiography
Permanent Pacemaker Implantation
Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator Implantation
