Travel PPV Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Mountlake Terrace, Washington
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, plus on-call and weekend rotation (minimum 2 weekends per 5-week period)
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Patient Care Setting: Home Health
Coverage Areas: King County and Snohomish County

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and revise patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Supervise home health aides and licensed practical nurses, providing instruction and assigning tasks per state and federal regulations.
• Provide high-quality clinical services within scope of practice and infection control standards.
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments (OASIS), including medication reconciliation.
• Document patient visits accurately and timely according to policy and payer requirements.
• Conduct initial and comprehensive nursing evaluations to ensure patient eligibility and medical necessity for home health care.
• Communicate effectively and promptly with agency staff, physicians, patients, and families to ensure quality care and service excellence.
• Participate actively in meetings, case conferences, and training sessions.
• Assist in orienting new personnel and serve as a preceptor for staff and students.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at reducing hospitalizations and improving patient safety.
• Adhere to the agency’s utilization management model.
• Maintain schedule flexibility to meet patient care demands, including availability for weekend rotations and observed holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multi-State license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (based on specialty code interpretation).

Preferred Qualifications

• Home Health experience.
• Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) or PointCare electronic health record systems.

Additional Information

• Dress code: Solid color scrubs.
• Mileage reimbursement provided between patient visits.

This position requires a professional RN certification and an Associate’s Degree as the minimum education level.
