Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Marina del Rey, California
Employment Type: Per Diem
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform CT scans in ER and ICU units, including Level 1 Trauma cases
• Work with all patient populations: Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatric
• IV starts required
• Use of GE and Toshiba equipment preferred
• Must have experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• 2+ years of specialty experience required
• Fluoroscopy permit required
• Shifts available:

  • Days: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Orientation: 2 days required

Preferred Skills

• GSI experience
• EKG interpretation
• PACS system knowledge

Required Licenses and Certifications

• California State License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ARRT Advanced Certification
• CRT Certification
• Fluoroscopy permit
• Flu vaccine (mandatory, no exemptions)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Complete all required lab work (fit test, physical, MMR, etc.) within 7 days of approval
• Background check within the last year, including SS trace and county searches for the last 7 years
• Drug screening panel within 1 year of start (excluding Marijuana/THC)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (with additional requirements if history of positive TB)
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Annual flu vaccination required (no declinations or exemptions accepted)
• Harassment Prevention Training certificate (California-specific, updated every 2 years)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam
• EKG competency exam (if applicable)

Additional Facility-Specific Requirements

• Aya Healthcare badge (non-photo) required for all candidates
• Passport-style photo with plain white background for badge
• Completion of security access and EPIC assessments prior to start
• Fire Card required (must be obtained within LA County; 30-day grace period allowed)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required for ER placements
• References: 2 professional references required, including 1 supervisory; clinical references must be verified within 1 year and completed within 30 days of start

Important Notes

• Candidates must be able to meet a 3-week approval timeline
• Failure to complete required lab work within 7 days of approval will result in cancellation
• No exemptions allowed for flu vaccine
• Orientation and compliance documentation must be completed prior to starting assignment

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with strong trauma and critical care experience, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment with diverse patient populations.
