Job Description

• Work primarily in Electrophysiology (EP) with some Cath Lab duties.
• Facility willing to train strong Cath Lab Techs in EP.
• Shift: 4x10 hour days.
• On-call required: 3 nights per week (no weekends), 2 hours per night.
• No mandatory weekends unless picking up Cath Lab call shift.
• Floating within scope to Cath Lab may be required.
• Locals not accepted (must live at least 50 miles from facility).
• Time off: One approved time off request per 13-week assignment.
• Guaranteed 70 hours per 2 weeks; may be called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks.
• Start Date: ASAP.
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years.
• First-time travelers accepted.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• ARRT (R) or RCES

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Shift: 4 days of 10 hours each

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO).
• Fit Mask testing required (annual update).
• Immunizations/Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months (annual update required)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccine (required during flu season or declination accepted)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine or declination (required if onsite)
• Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests, THC excluded)
• Respiratory Safety Clearance (annual medical clearance for respirator use)

Background & Employment History

• Background Check within 45 days of start, covering last 7 years of residence/employment.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly.
• Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years.
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors).
• Education Verification required (nursing degree for RNs/LVNs; related degree or high school for Allied/CNA).
• Skills Checklist updated annually (applicable units).

Training & Competency Requirements

• Must complete Providence WorkRamp modules as assigned (Core, Specialty, Regional, and Annual Regulatory modules).
• Epic charting system training modules required prior to or shortly after start.
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
• Color Blind Testing if required by unit.

• Floating policy acknowledgment required; may float to other Providence facilities nearby.
• Locals not accepted; candidate must reside at least 50 miles from facility.
