Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Bellevue, Nebraska
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
• 13-week contract option
• 36 or 48 hour weekly option

Unit

• Medical Surgical/Telemetry 4th Floor
• 36-bed medical surgical/telemetry unit
• Focus on medical surgical/telemetry patients with emphasis on orthopedic patients
• Additional surgical specialties include surgical oncology, general surgery, GYN surgery, and OMFS
• Telemetry monitoring is provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience in an Academic Medical Center or Large Hospital setting
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
• Experience with Epic
• Must be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including potentially to Main campus and units such as 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, and SOTU
• Pending license accepted, but if the license is not in hand at submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out
• Locals not accepted; candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility

• NIH
• CPI

Schedule and Attendance

• 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period
• Up to 2 weeks of RTO permitted
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s

Other Important Details

• Drips are required on all floors
• 100% nicotine-free facility
• Scrubs are mandatory: Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo on the back
• Parking is available for a fee
• Flu vaccine is preferred, not mandatory
• COVID vaccination is preferred; medical or religious exemption or declination is accepted
