ICU/CCU RN (Travel/Contract)

Overview

• Location: Los Alamitos, California
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (19:00 to 07:30)
• Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Candidates accepted: First-time travelers and local candidates

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
• Experience with Epic

Onboarding Documents

• Signed Hepatitis C titer or declination (titer strongly preferred; declination must include a reason)
• Medication-system agreement due 5 business days before orientation
• TB symptom review before start
• Confidentiality agreement signed within 72 hours of receipt
• Signed unit-specific job description (sent via DocuSign)
• ICU traveler tip sheet, last page signed
• RN and LVN orientation packet acknowledgment
• Skills self-assessment
• Epidural pain policy review
• Standard of care: skin care acknowledgment
• Traveler acknowledgment (Joint Commission readiness, physician rounding clinical update, national patient safety goals)
• Sexual violence and sexual harassment policy review
• Facility orientation modules, completed on site or at home after account activation; must be finished before working on the floor
• Some items, such as skills validations and facility evaluations, may be completed on site after start for select candidates.
