Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in San Francisco, California
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
36 hours per week
13-week contract
No on-call; weekend rotation required

Role Summary

Provides assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in an acute patient setting
Includes direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
Focuses on high-risk labor and delivery care

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
Experience with Epic

Unit-specific skills checklist
Full 7-year work history in the application with no gaps
Work history verification for up to 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained
Background check and required screenings
TB screening and annual renewal
Drug screen within 6 months of start
Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit test within 1 year of start and annually
Flu vaccination or approved declination during flu season
Tdap within 10 years
Color vision screening if applicable
Signed pre-start documents and orientation acknowledgements
