Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
• Start date: ASAP, with listed start windows of 9/8, 9/12, or 9/21
• 13-week contract
• Day shift, 5x8 hours: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate if within 50 miles
• First-time candidates accepted

Schedule

• Call required 2–3 days per week and every 4th–5th weekend
• Call is rotating, with 2 call teams during the week and 1 call team on weekends for 24 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Experience with robotic surgical systems
• Orthopedics experience
• Urology experience
• Ophthalmology experience
• ENT Surgery experience
• Plastic Surgery experience
• Neurosurgery experience

Case Mix / Clinical Experience

• Heavy robotics and orthopedic volume
• Experience needed in sports medicine, urology, gynecology, plastics, ENT, eye, podiatry, spine, and neurosurgery

Compliance / Onboarding

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start
• Wisconsin Caregiver Search required within 90 days of start
• 2 professional references required within 2 years of start
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
• Drug screen required within 14 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Photo for badge required
• Confidentiality statement required before start
