Job info

Performs pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic laboratory procedures on biological specimens.
Duties include phlebotomy, specimen processing, quality control, quality assurance, and waived, moderate, or high complexity testing.
If assigned to the Transfusion Service, duties also include blood inventory management, blood product preparation, and issuing blood products for transfusion.
Scope of duties is consistent with the CLS license.

Valid Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) license in California.
Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) experience within the last year.
Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) (2 years of experience).
ACLS.
BLS.
PALS.
NRP.
CCRN.
TNCC.
Tech Cert Verification - National within 30 days of start.
State License 1 Verification within 30 days of start.
NURSYS Verification within 30 days of start.
7-year background check within 6 months of start.
EPLS/GSA/SAM.
HHS/OIG.
FACIS Level 3 search within 2 weeks of start, then monthly.
Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start.
California - Medi-Cal Search Result if FACIS III cannot be run monthly.

Fit test within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
