Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Wilmington, North Carolina
• 12-hour night shifts: 18:45–07:15
• 36 or 48 hour contracts accepted
• Longer contracts accepted through 2/27/2026
• Locals accepted at local rate

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• Charge experience preferred

Schedule / Staffing

• Float required as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Ratio: 1:5-6

Unit Details

• MS/TELE RN
• Isolation area for COVID patients
• Multi-level care includes stepdown, with stepdown patients cared for by stepdown staff, not M/S staff

Additional Assignment Notes

• RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite
• Call-offs or additional RTO on unit may result in cancellation and DNR
• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team coverage
• May be required to report during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster
• Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur
• Contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed

Orientation / Systems

• Unit orientation is 24 hours
• Travelers attend hospital orientation during week 1 and must be available for daily classes
• Unit systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
