Registered Nurse — Emergency Department

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 12 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted
• On-call required
• Floating may be required within scope, including to sister facilities
• Block scheduling is not available
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Minimum distance from facility: 75 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Driver's License

Experience Notes

• Experience with a 30-bed emergency department is noted as preferred/minimal experience context

Schedule / Work Environment

• Fast-paced emergency department with highly acute patients
• Patient volume is approximately 175–200 patients per day
• Rotating weekend call is part of the on-call schedule

Submission / Start Requirements

• Driver’s license must be included with submission
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted
• Utility bill and address verification must meet the 75-mile rule

Additional Considerations

• Fit testing is required onsite
• Patient care orientation class is required
• If no EPIC experience within the last 6 months, EPIC class is required before the schedule is assigned
