Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: Night (4x12 hours), 18:45 - 07:15
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: Yes, may float to main campus (~32 minutes away)
Call Requirement: No
Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days


Job Description

  • Immediate start required: must start on 6/8 or 6/15
  • Unit accepts first-time travelers
  • Patient diagnoses include diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, GI bleed, anemia, hip fracture, CHF, UTI, renal failure, hypertension, cellulitis, failure to thrive, and various surgical recovery cases
  • Use of Pyxis medication system
  • Self-scheduling
  • 24-hour unit orientation
  • Scrubs: Navy blue or white

Required Skills & Experience

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Telemetry experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Pre/Post hemodialysis management
  • Blood product administration
  • Central line blood draws
  • PICC line management
  • PCA management
  • Chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac)
  • BiPAP/CPAP management and maintenance
  • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
