Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: Night (4x12 hours), 18:45 - 07:15
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: Yes, may float to main campus (~32 minutes away)
Call Requirement: No
Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Job Description

Immediate start required: must start on 6/8 or 6/15
Unit accepts first-time travelers
Patient diagnoses include diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, GI bleed, anemia, hip fracture, CHF, UTI, renal failure, hypertension, cellulitis, failure to thrive, and various surgical recovery cases
Use of Pyxis medication system
Self-scheduling
24-hour unit orientation
Scrubs: Navy blue or white

Required Skills & Experience

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Telemetry experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Pre/Post hemodialysis management
Blood product administration
Central line blood draws
PICC line management
PCA management
Chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac)
BiPAP/CPAP management and maintenance
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
