Registered Nurse - SICU (Travel/Contract)
Location: Santa Barbara, California
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit Details
- Average Daily Census: 17 patients
- Beds: 20
- Patient Population: Adults
- Call Required
- Float Required
- Weekend Coverage: 12 shifts per contract
- Schedule: Self-scheduled
- Unit Systems: Omnicell, Epic, SBAR
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including NICU or SICU
- ICU experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Driver's License
- Skills and clinical experience in:
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Care for multi-system organ failure
- Management of External Ventricular Drain (EVD)
- Post-neurosurgery patient management
- Care of ventilated patients including ventilator management and suctioning (ETT, NT)
