Job Opportunity: Pediatric BMT Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide nursing care in Hematology/Oncology (Hem/Onc) and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) units.
- Units include 24 Hem/Onc beds, 10 BMT beds, and 17 overflow beds with history of oncology and medical-surgical patients.
- May float to General Pediatrics floor, PICU, NICU, and sister campus as needed.
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia.
- Minimum of 1 year of Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience within the last year.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Additional Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID and Social Security card required.
- E-Verify documentation required.
- Completion of facility-specific confidentiality and security agreement prior to start.
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start (not required annually).
- Proof of OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training or signed attestation.
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- Complete employment application/resume.
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units.
Work Environment
- May be scheduled on different floors as needed; Hem/Onc and BMT units are primary assignments.
- Units are located one floor apart; flexibility to float between units and sister campus.
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Orientation and onboarding materials will be provided directly to the traveler before start date.
This position is ideal for experienced pediatric Hem/Onc and BMT RNs with required certifications and licensure, seeking a travel contract in a specialized pediatric hospital setting.
