Position Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse
• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Required to float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (no guaranteed hours)
• Must complete facility-specific orientation modules prior to start (approx. 4-6 hours)
• Must provide a clear, passport-style badge photo prior to start

Background and Compliance

• Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including:

  • SSN Trace
  • Statewide and national criminal checks
  • Sex offender registry
  • FACIS 3 and international searches if applicable
• Employment verification of last 3 clinical employers required
• Education verification required; diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder if needed
• E-Verify attestation confirming work eligibility in the US required
• OFAC Sanctions List search required prior to start
• South Carolina Medicaid Excluded Providers search required for sub-vendors

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam updated annually, attesting ability to meet job demands
• Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or proof of prior positive with chest x-ray
• Annual TB questionnaire completion required
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:

  • Tdap within 10 years or declination form
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
  • Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
  • Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination
• Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Aug 1 – Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; if declined, must complete vaccination declination form
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Respirator medical clearance annually (RespSafety questionnaire)

Orientation and Onboarding

• Facility-specific First Day Instructions (FDI) and OurDay modules must be completed before orientation
• COVID and flu vaccine documentation must be uploaded into the facility’s system prior to start
• Badge photo must be submitted by Wednesday end of day prior to start week

• Hurricane season (June–November) may require assignment to emergency response teams; avoid confirming new or extension contracts during peak months (August and September) if this is a concern.
