Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Travel/Contract
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Requirements
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (First time travelers accepted)
- Experience:
- Must have NICU Level 4 experience
- Pediatric experience required
- Work Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Floating: Floating within scope required
- Locals Accepted: Yes
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- State License (Connecticut) - can be pending but must be active to start
Additional Preferred/Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Required for NICU
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Required for ER candidates
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - Required for psych positions (if applicable)
Documentation and Compliance
- Clear copy of driver’s license or passport required
- Background checks including 7-year search, aliases, nationwide and statewide searches, sex offender registry, and OFAC sanctions list
- Education verification required
- Competency exams with minimum 80% pass rate (including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency if applicable)
- Annual mandatory trainings and competencies (Core Parts I-III, OSHA, HIPAA)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start, signed by NP, PA, or MD
- Respiratory fit test required annually
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination proof
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination
- Drug testing (10 panel) within 30 days of start and annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually
Facility Specific Requirements
- Pediatric medication calculation exam required for all RNs
- Confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, conflict of interest, and contractor checklist must be signed prior to start
- Photo for badge required (chest up, solid background)
Work Environment
- Charting system: EPIC
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Parking available
References and History
- Two professional references within the past 2 years, must have directly supervised the candidate
- Employment application including 7 years of work history and explanation of gaps required
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Work history verification for the last 7 years required
