Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Manassas, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with strong current experience in L&D, including circulating C-sections and C-section recovery.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Experience circulating C-sections and managing C-section recovery
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Background checks including criminal, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG within required timeframes
• Official transcripts or diplomas as applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (or within 30 days if past positive TB)
• Negative Qgold (QFT) TB test within 30 days of start; if past positive, chest X-ray within 1 year and TB questionnaire updated annually
• Fit mask (N95) certification within 1 year, renewed annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Immunization and titer proof for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (or facility-specific declination form if applicable)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
• NIH Stroke Certification within 1 year of start and renewed annually
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required for ER and Behavioral Health RNs (not specifically stated as required for L&D)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (not required for L&D)
• Competency Exam within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Photo for badge (passport style, business attire) required prior to start
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
• Two professional references from the L&D unit within 2 years of start
